WHAT WE DO

The Leicester Community Shop was set up in 2016 as an Incorporated Community Benefit Society. In March 2017 the Leicester Community Shop opened with the support from the Plunkett Foundation. The aim of the shop is to provide people in Leicester with low-cost food and household essentials while reducing food waste in our community.

The shop prides itself on stocking produce from many local and national suppliers.

Some of the products include competitively priced fresh fruit & vegetables, groceries, sanitary products, school stationery, new & nearly-new baby items and household essentials.

In addition, we offer a loyalty savings scheme for our members plus access to money and energy advice services through our partners at the Zinthiya Trust

We have also partnered with The Chapel Café on Bishop Street and other businesses in our local area to provide a discount to our members.
